The Umbrellade is a Rare sword that can be bought in the Shop for 2000 crowns.

Overview

The Umbrellade is a sword with one key difference, and that is you lose your ability to use strike attacks and mid-air lunges at the benefit of gliding. The gliding feature is activated simply by using your special mid-air. You cannot exit the gliding stage until you land. When you land, you are momentarily unable to do any action such as moving, swinging or equipping other weaponry. The longer you are in the gliding phase, the faster you will fall, until it gets to the point where you fall normally. You are still able to lunge on the ground however. This weapon is best used for getting to other spires or ambushing players with ease. You can also run away easier as you can control yourself better. However do be warned that you cannot exit the gliding phase until you land (under normal circumstances), and therefore you can be much more susceptible to getting shot out of the air by projectiles. Once ragdolled, the glide effect is cancelled.

• No mid-air lunging.

Trivia

• The description is a reference to the 1964 film, Mary Poppins, and the character of the same name. In the film, Mary Poppins could fly with a magic umbrella.
• Umbrellade was made by allergicpuppy.
• It's lunge attack is a reference to the Parasol Copy-Ability from the Kirby Series.
• It is one of the only weapons to have separate special abilities based on the state of your character.
• Pressing the BACKSPACE key on your keyboard allows you to cancel your glide and switch your weapon, however you can't use the Umbrellade before hitting the ground, and you will still be vulnerable upon landing.
